2016 GIS Mobile Adventure

The Golf Industry Show gives all of us in the golf turf industry a week of networking, education and a bit of camaraderie. We are excited to announce the return of the GIS Mobile Adventure in partnership with Holganix and what better city than San Diego! Our annual Golf Industry Show Scavenger Hunt is afoot.

Turf Republic’s, 2016 GIS Mobile Adventure in partnership with Holganix is an interactive mobile adventure to engage conference and tradeshow attendees at the 2016 Golf Industry Show. Playing is easy and we are sure you will have a blast!

This year the overall winner will have a choice of prize. He or she will have the option of selecting an iPad Air 2 16 Gig Wifi and Apple TV the essential components of a Digital Job Board. The other option is a DJI Phantom 3 Standard edition drone. Perfect to get you started on building your agronomic programs and marketing your club for 2016.

We didn’t forget the runner’s up. 2 runner up winners will receive an Apple TV to assist you starting your digital job board.

Getting Started

To play, you must have a mobile device and be attending the 2016 Golf Industry Show. Next, click on the link below to download the Scavify app for your mobile device. This is the app in which the 2016 GIS Mobile Adventure is hosted.

The 2016 GIS Mobile Adventure will officially begin on Monday, February 8th at 12:01am PST. At this time, the tasks you must complete will be revealed. The Mobile Adventure has 4 different types of tasks:
– GPS Checkins
– Photo Challenges
– Question and Answer
– QR Code Scanned – Scanner is built into the mobile app for you.

The tasks are designed to enhance your week in San Diego and the Golf Industry Show. Some tasks will need to be completed while you are out and about enjoying the sites and sounds of San Diego. Perhaps a stop at the Midway or a famous BBQ to sing Great Balls of Fire with Maverick! Other tasks will need to be completed at show on Wednesday and Thursday.

The 2016 GIS Mobile Adventure has lots of great features for you to see and share your progress with others playing. A real-time leader board to show how you are stacking up with completing your tasks with others. A photo gallery to showcase all the photo challenges. Also included are social features for you to share your progress through Facebook and Twitter.

Official Rules

• All players must have a mobile device and must be attending the 2016 Golf Industry Show.
• You must play as an individual, no teams.
• Anyone attending the Golf Industry Show, except staff of Turf Republic are permitted to play.
• Only the FIRST person to complete all the tasks or the person with the highest point total at the end of the hunt will win the grand prize.
• The first 2 runners up to finish or to have the second and third highest point values after the initial winner will receive the Apple TV. Tie breaker will be completed by order of sign up to the hunt. So make sure you sign up quickly!
• If no one completes all tasks by finish of the Mobile Adventure (Friday, February 12th, 2016) The Grand Prize Winner will be the person with the most points, NOT the most tasks completed.
