Green Start Academy: Building a Maintenance Budget

Green Start Academy, sponsored by John Deere Golf and Bayer, is a great opportunity for assistant superintendents to network with peers and industry personnel.  The event is a first class conference that provides assistant superintendents with the chance to learn about the future of the golf industry.
Chris Condon (Tetherow Golf Club) and I will be presenting on how to build a golf course maintenance budget.  The learning objectives of the class will be:
1.)    Understand how to build an objective golf course maintenance budget.
2.)    Learn how the Golf Course Superintendent works with the General Manager to effectively position the asset in the market place.
3.)    Work effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent and General Manager through the budgeting process.
4.)    Learn the value of effectively setting clear expectations for the product to further your team’s engagement, development and retention.
5.)    Learn how to identify want vs. need.
6.)    Basic financial statement overview.
I am excited to be a part of this unique platform.  The dedication to the future of the golf maintenance industry from John Deere Golf and Bayer is simply phenomenal.
